Nomination forms are made available once a year. Links to the forms are posted on social media. Individuals working in the hospitality industry can present nominees for consideration. Members of the awards committee review the nominations (the longlist) and then create a shortlist, eliminating nominees who do not meet the criteria. Next, the awards committee votes for the nominees on the shortlist to decide on the final honorees.

What are the criteria for induction into the International Hospitality Hall of Fame®?

Some key questions considered by the awards committee include the following:

• How has the nominee worked to advance the industry?
• How has the nominee influenced positive change?
• How has the nominee demonstrated thought leadership?
• How has the nominee advocated for the industry and championed projects that promote the industry?
• Has the nominee built a legacy?
